Spanish writing mini-session starts on September 17

This is a five-session course. It starts on September 17, and those who plan to take the translation course in January will benefit from taking this course first. The translation course is now ten sessions so it is possible for participants to take both courses, since those who take the Spanish writing course have less difficulty getting right into message transfer skills and do not need as much help working on writing skills. In January, we will not have time to deal with writing skills.

Participants who take the Spanish writing course in 2020 will receive a $50 discount on the 2021 translation training course.

Advanced English-Spanish translation skills by teleconference

Starting on January 5, 2021, we will be running a ten-session course on English-Spanish translation. Many participants use this training to prepare for a certification exam such as the WA DSHS or the ATA exam, but others take the course to improve their skills. There is an admissions test for this course. In general, those who take the Spanish writing course are prepared for the translation course. Please check the details for the translation course.

Daniela Guanipa and Helen Eby teach both courses as co-instructors. To provide the best setting for learning and feedback, both courses have a maximum capacity of 12 participants per instructor. Fees are non-refundable.
