Advanced English/Spanish translation 2025
Welcome back to our online course in advanced English – Spanish translation. Our next session will be in January to March 2025!
Our sessions are live teleconferences. Attendance is required. Each session consists of twenty or thirty minutes of theory followed by review of the homework assignment due for discussion that day.
Having completed the homework, reviewed the partner’s work, and submitted the reviewed work on time for the instructors to review the homework before the class makes participation more productive and course participation more successful.
Participants who consistently do their work on time, review each other’s work on time, and participate in teleconferences, have a better rate of success.
At the end of the course, students can:
- Understand the ATA grading scale and use it as a reference to measure the quality of their translations.
- Know how to identify and use their strengths and improve their weaknesses.
- Know how to work in a team with an editor.
- Be ready to meet the job requirements in the ILR Skill Level Descriptions for Translation Performance.
Our online classes are based on real-time interaction, like an in-person discussion group. Our students always leave satisfied, no matter what their goals. To keep that intimate atmosphere, we limit classes to ten students per instructor.
You can read more about our class environment, technology required, and recommended resources on our general information page.
